Children from refugee families who have recently moved to Lincoln face many challenges. These challenges include learning English, having parents who do not speak English, and lack of financial resources. Let's put a smile on these children's faces this Christmas. Our goal is to provide 100 children a "One Good Gift" Book.
Thirty children from refugee families will participate in the
Christmas Break Children's Class.
This class will provide creative and fun learning activities during the Christmas Break to help these children be ready for school next year. Part of the class time will include a one to one reading experience.
Donations of new children's books, volunteer reading listeners and financial contributions are needed.
